5Practical Guidance on the Successful Application of Analytics
By Henry Morris
The toughest things for users and managers to figure out is how to build a roadmap and how to decide what approach to take for a particular problem and how to set up an organization that works. This book addresses these points in an intelligent and useful way. Analytics is becoming more diverse all the time – more diverse types of data, more diverse techniques and algorithms and more diverse applications.

I established the analytics practice at IDC around the theme of analytic applications, back in 1997. The emphasis on analytic applications here resonated with me and should be of great value to readers. in a fast changing field, Michele Chambers and Thomas Dinsmore have covered many of the important new tools and approaches in a book that will turn out to be very useful to practitioners and to managers.
