I’m thrilled to be the maid of honor in my friend’s wedding, but the best man, Andrew McCormick, is a chauvinistic pig with a God complex.
And I can’t stop kissing him in closets.
He’s the brother of the groom and the CEO of my biggest mystery shopping account, but suddenly he’s refusing to be in the wedding. He won’t talk about it. Won’t see reason.
He’s such a man.
And he still won’t stop kissing me in random closets.
I’m a fixer. That’s what I do. I can fix anything if given the chance. But when the game is fixed there’s only so much I can do.
The ball’s in his court now.

Perfect addition to the Shopping Series.
I've been in love with this series since Shannon got her hand stuck in the toilet in the first book. If you've been a big Marie supporter you'll either carry that torch a bit brighter or see it dull as she becomes Momzilla in a HUGE way.
Shopping for a CEO gives the story over the Amanda, Shannon's best friend and Andrew, Declan's brother and new CEO of Anterdec. This story takes place through Shannon and Declan's wedding planning. It's two years since their first closet kiss when Amanda was doing what she does best, fixing things, and planning a huge ruse to get Declan and Shannon back together. Now he's come to the conclusion that kissing in closets isn't what he wants. When does he come to this conclusion? Right after Amanda is assigned to do 20 dates with emphatic dog lovers from a dating website. And she can't tell Andrew as the website is a competitor. There's an immediate, "Uh-oh" factor which Julia turns into many laughs and a very swoon worthy scene until....
Amanda lives at home with just her mother, Pam, who is in a daily battle with fibromyalgia. Pam is also a little clingy with Amanda. Amanda just deals with this until she starts having flashbacks from when she was five. She always accepted that her father just left them until the flashbacks. Now she has the issue of her father, being maid of honor in a Marie production, doggy lover dates and Andrew. What could go wrong?
This book is loaded with laughs. Laughs so hard your sides will hurt. You might expell a little pee also. Fair warning. Just as in all her series there will also be a moments that you don't expect, especially the ending. Moments that will make you feel for both Amanda and Andrew. We also get to see more of Terry, the oldest brother and am introduced to Hamish; the "soccer" playing cousin from Scotland.
Great book. Perfect addition to the Shopping series.

This series does NOT disappoint
By Kindle Customer
Unexpected, irreverent and touching, this series has been all those things. This latest installment reinforces all those adjectives and some. I've loved Amanda from the first go round and Andrew becomes her match in this latest book. Amanda draws you into her story with her narrative. She is sarcastic, insecure and an undeniable "fixer." Her mother suffers from medical ailments &, probably, depression. Amanda's job as a secret shopper provides her life with a plethora of untenable and embarrassing situations that seem to regularly haunt her. But her attraction to the aloof, yet magnetic, Andrew provides her a constant dilemma in which she simmers. However, this book includes the most endearing, dramatic and real double rescues ever written. This story is all about surviving your worst nightmares, finding true friendship, loyalty and love and overcoming your sometimes crazy family and circumstances. Hilarious, passionate and truthful this book is a brilliantly contemporary read that makes you wish these people were in your life (well, except maybe for Marie). I've read all this series and I can't wait for the next journey with this chaotic group.

Amanda and Andrew finally get their love story!
By Nan R, Chasing Away Reality Book Blog
I was so excited to finally get Amanda and Andrew's story! Since I read their first kiss bonus short, I've been dying to get my hands on this. I was not disappointed! The chemistry is off the charts with these two.
I loved the character development. They had real issues to overcome (not ones created for drama) - Amanda dealing with her mom's illness and discovering her forgotten past and Andrew's fears about going outside and hurting those he loves. I loved how Julia forced Andrew to face his fear and go outside (poor Amanda!). I only wish we would have gotten Andrew's POV.
Julia Kent knows how to write funny! This story had me laughing out loud (the other passengers on the plane were staring). I loved the mystery shopping that Amanda had to endure, the crazy dog owners, the cast of characters, and Chuckles. On top of that, there was Marie the Momzilla. I would have kicked her out of the wedding planning a long time ago! But Marie keeps me laughing.
I can't wait to see what happens next!
